MEET THE TEAM: Q & A WITH MAINTENANCE CREW LEADER KENDERICK PERKINS
It’s time to meet another member of your local landscape crew! Our talented team is the glue that holds Chad’s Landscape Management together – and the ones that keep your landscape in stunning shape. Each member contributes something different to our process, and they’re all highly trained to deliver the best landscape experience to every client we serve. We wouldn’t be where we are today without each of their valuable contributions!
That’s why we’re excited to share another team member spotlight with you. This time, we’re sitting down with Kenderick Perkins, our experienced maintenance crew leader, to discover how he keeps our maintenance projects running as smooth as a well-oiled machine.
MEET KENDERICK PERKINS
Kenderick joined the Chad’s Landscape Management team over 2 years ago. As our maintenance crew leader, he is responsible for making sure every project goes to plan, from getting crews to the job site and ready to work to making sure each task is completed in a good and timely manner. Kenderick is not only a skilled landscaper but also a strong leader, qualities that make him perfect for leading our maintenance projects.
What made you choose landscaping as a career?
I’ve always loved to be outdoors and working with my hands. I used to help my mom in the yard when I was a kid, and I was always fond of it. Landscaping seemed to be a natural fit.
What’s your favorite part about your job?
I’m not sure I have one favorite part, but probably just making a yard look better after I’m done with it.
Your least favorite?
The heat! We work out in the heat a lot and it really wears you down. (that’s why you should let us handle your summer yard work.)
What would be your #1 landscape tip for homeowners?
Keep the weeds down! Weeds can get wild faster than you think and throw off the look of your whole landscape.
What is your biggest inspiration in life?
I have a son on the way, and he is my biggest inspiration. I want to give him the world.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not landscaping?
Spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy taking my pit-bull to dog parks and playing games with my girlfriend.
What would you say to someone who is considering joining the team at Chad’s Landscape Management?
It’s a great job! We’re looking for guys who are leaders but are also willing to work as a team. You’ll fit right in if you have a great attitude and care about our customers and their landscapes.
